At this point, Surgo only exists as a concept. The 1:10 scale model helps give a better idea of what this mountain rescuer might actually look like. It's certainly not a bad idea, and there's a good chance that Surgo will be a real life saver in the near future.
Mountain rescuer Surgo Mountain Rescue Vehicle were conceived by a Polish company 2 simplex, which already has quite a few off-road vehicles among its designs. The SUV has room for 8 people and for all necessary rescue equipment. Due to its design and high clearance from the ground, Surgo can also be easily reached the most demanding terrains. Despite its size, thanks to the four-wheel steering, it can handle practically any terrain. It's the front unusually narrow, and with completely specific purposes. This is how the creators made room for huge shock absorbers and springs, with an equally huge stroke. The chassis allows the setting with which it is possible to transport until almost 90-degree entrances and exit angles.
The passenger cabin has large windshield, which enables a maximum overview of the surroundings and the terrain. There are not many instruments in front of the driver, only a few basic ones so that the driver can fully focus on driving on challenging terrain. Navigation screen to the casualty in front of the passenger, which helps the driver with navigation. The last six seats are can be folded, thereby creating enough space for stretchers. Whether or not Surgo really comes to life remains to be seen, but we're sure he would happily used all mountain rescuers.
