Who says a carousel is only for children? Swarovski presents its own version of an urban merry-go-round that every one of us would like to take a ride on - this is the Swarovski Carousel!
Swarovski has joined forces with the designer Jamie Hayon and created a very special one interactive installation, which even adults will have a hard time resisting. And, believe it or not, you can watch it live!
The luxurious Carousel you can try it in the museum Swarovski Crystal Worlds, located in Austria Wattens.
White and black structure in height measure 6 meters – adorn her 15 million Swarovski crystals, which are spread over 12-floor and 16-wall cladding.
The artist wanted to enchant with his work a feeling of freedom and joy, which he undoubtedly succeeded in doing. He found inspiration for his creation in a fairy-tale world, and accordingly equipped the carousel with imaginary creatures, which serve as seats. A whole species can be seen on the roof and fence funny faces, which glisten in the sun.
The carousel offers enough space for 28 people of all ages, but at the same time it also includes places intended for disabled people.
It is open every day in July and August between 10:00 and 21:30, and from September onwards between 10:00 and 19:00.
