The Ljubljana ambulance station received a new ambulance motorcycle, a Honda VFR1200X Crosstourer, donated by the T-2 company.
The funds for the purchase of the motorcycle were collected by the T-2 company in a charity campaign T-2 loves life. "In order to improve the chances of survival of the injured, we collected funds for the purchase of a rescue engine with the help of partners and donors and by selling our products and services. The response was incredible this year as well. This shows that Slovenians surpass many more numerous nations in charity. We know how to come together when needed and help each other. Life is not perfect, but it has moments that are," said the president of the T-2 management when handing over the motorcycle to the Ljubljana rescuers. M.Sc. Jure Valjavec.
The company T-2 is otherwise a rescue motorcycle Rescue station Ljubljana wanted to hand over in September and thus replace one of them, whose lease would expire in the fall. Unfortunately, at the beginning of June, one of the Ljubljana rescuers, who was on an emergency ride and rushed to help a motorcyclist injured in an accident, was involved in a traffic accident in the center of Ljubljana, in which he suffered serious injuries, and the rescue motorcycle was completely destroyed. However, since Ljubljana's rescuers urgently need an engine for their work, especially in the summer months, the T-2 company accelerated the fundraising and procurement procedures for a new engine, enabling them to get it two months earlier and in this way you can significantly contribute to the success of saving lives and providing first aid.
On this occasion, acting general director of UKC Ljubljana Teodor Žepič thanked for the donation and emphasized that it is nice to have such friends. He added that the Ljubljana Ambulance Station took over on Sunday two new ambulances, which also have the option of transporting incubators, for which they waited as long as five or ten years.
