This photo, in which 12 British soldiers are hidden, shows how great masters of camouflage the soldiers are. Can you find everything?
camouflage
Let's go back to 2013, when top designers Dries Van Noten, Valentino, Kenzo and Comme des Garçons brought a modern camouflage pattern to the catwalks, dressing their models in repurposed military gear. At the time, we had some hope that the revival of the camouflage pattern would stand the (fashion) test of time, and apparently we didn't hope in vain. We have a lot to thank for the way innovative brands and designers have continued to reinterpret the standard look of the camouflage pattern, adding new shades of green and brown and ensuring that this iconic pattern is still worn today. For those of you who still don't know how to incorporate this pattern into your everyday fashion, we have prepared some ideas on how to wear a camouflage pattern and stay on trend at the same time.
Are you up for a challenge? Can you find the cat in this photo in 10 seconds? Okay, how about half a minute? Well, in 5 minutes, however you want! We all know that cats are pretty good at hiding and can make themselves invisible if need be, but this cat blends in better than any other! Do you see him in the photo? There's no way you'll find it!
Do you have a hawk eye? Then this “phone game” is perfect for you. There's a smartphone hidden in this carpet photo, but most people can't find it. Despite straining his eyes, he eventually gives up and fails to find out where Jeya May Cruz put her smartphone. Do you know?
Can you spot the naked man in these photos? Body painting artists Leonie Gené and Joerg Duesterwald, with the help of photographer Laila Pregizer and photographer Uwa Schmid, created a series of photographs called Metamorphosis, in which a person blends so well with his surroundings that even the sharpest of eyes will have trouble finding them!
The task of the soldiers is to blend in with the surroundings inconspicuously, but sometimes a chain of coincidences leads to the fact that we also blend in with the surroundings. Have you ever experienced this "chameleon" phenomenon yourself or seen someone else who completely unexpectedly and unintentionally blended in with their surroundings? We turned to the internet for examples and discovered many interesting "twins". Has your equipment ever matched something from the surrounding area?
Spot the man in these photos? The incredible camouflages are the work of Trina Merry, who blended her designs almost imperceptibly with the environment. For the backgrounds of her "Lost in Wonder" series, she chose world wonders, from the archaeological site of Petra to the Colosseum in Rome.
