The Carnival of Venice, whose roots date back to the 11th century and which begins approximately two weeks before Ash Wednesday and ends on Shrove Tuesday, will this year take place from January 31 to February 17, 2015. The world-famous Venice Carnival, which coincides with the Rio Carnival de Janeiro and Mardi Gras in New Orleans, one of the largest and most important in the world, but it is also rich in history, known for its wonderful masks and unusual facts. The Venice Carnival 2015 is therefore worth visiting.
Carnival mask
This year's Carnival Sunday brings the first Latin dance in masks to the stage of the GH Union's great hall on February 15. Musicians that we have listened to in packed Križanka in past years will perform. The title of the event Tribute to Celia Cruz & Tito Puente says enough about the musical content provided by the queen of salsa Celia and Tito, the founder of Latin-jazz.
For Halloween, many masks will once again line up at every turn. From cartoon characters, animals, politicians, to things that technology lovers love.
