Did some scenes from La La Land look suspiciously familiar to you? La La Land demolishes everything before it. The romantic musical recently received a record 14 Oscar nominations (only Titanic and All About Eve have so far), and even before that it took home seven Golden Globes, which bodes well for the Oscars. If you've seen the movie before and certain scenes are familiar to you, it's no coincidence that the filmmakers drew inspiration from many movie classics, such as Let's Dance in the Rain, Moulin Rouge! and West Side Story.
