We are already used to renovations in the middle of a car's life cycle being more or less cosmetic - but this time the ŠKODA Superb surprised us, not only with an improved design, but also with an electric future.
it's a shame
The ŠKODA Scala is the successor to the ŠKODA Rapid. But not just a successor, because she became something completely different, something more attractive and, above all, finished. In terms of size, the ŠKODA Scala is noticeably larger than the Fabia model, but it shares proportions with the SUV model Karoq, with which they have almost the same length and wheelbase.
After a long 'teaser' campaign, Škoda Kamiq is only with us. The smallest of Škoda's SUVs or crossovers has a slightly different design compared to the larger Koidaq and Karoq. A different style, mainly to convince younger customers even more.
Without exception, concept cars are the ones that always leave the biggest impression on us. However, these are only concepts and we preferred to look at cars that are available to a wider or at least exclusive crowd of people. Are you interested in which 'machines' we remembered the most in 2018?
The story of the complete 'unmasking' of the new Škoda Scala was very short. It all started in the month of July, when we saw the first hidden photos, and in the month of December, the final product is already in front of us. The Škoda Scala will become a stronger player in the hatchback compact car segment, taking on the likes of the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Fokus, Seat Leon, Kia Ceed, Hyundai i30 and others.
Škoda Vision E is Škoda's first fully electric concept study. With it, Škoda also presents its electric mobile future, which impresses with its design, technology, 'simply clever' solutions and attention to detail.
The striking Škoda Vision RS concept study represents the view of the Škoda brand into the not-so-distant future. And it partially reveals that one of the future models will definitely be in the golf class. The dynamic language of the forms of the Škoda Vision RS concept, hybrid technologies and special attention and care for the environment with the use of sustainably produced and vegan materials indicate that Škoda does not want to be just a "Czech" Škoda in the future. Moreover, it also wants to dictate trends.
Rumors turned out to be true again and the most 'filed' Czech SUV, the ŠKODA Kodiaq RS, is in front of us. The bear with the RS label looks aggressive at first glance, which is further emphasized by the 20-inch rims and distinctive exhaust tips.
Does the title sound familiar? But what if we're not talking about you or your better half, but about a car that more and more Slovenians get excited about - year after year? Then that sounds just ideal. Let's check why!
With each new model, the Škoda brand is sharper to look at, and it is no different with the concept Škoda Vision X Concept. It indicates the design direction Škoda will take in the future. It sits on 20-inch wheels, which is typical of concept cars anyway. It has hooks that hide in the door, creating a smooth side profile. Add to that an extravagant and minimalistic interior with a large central screen and we already have a very attractive concept.
Škoda presented a slightly refreshed Fabia so that we can more easily wait for its new generation. Both forms, the station wagon and the one with a chopped rear, were renewed. The changes will be noticeable at first glance only to those who are true Škoda connoisseurs.
The Skoda Karoq will replace the Yeti and fill the gap left by the larger Kodiaq. Designwise, the Kodiaq and Karoq are almost identical, with only a few design features separating them. Besides the size, of course. Compared to the Yeti, the Karoq has grown in all dimensions, only less in height due to the shape. But it inherited from the Yeti flexible interior, off-road capabilities, ergonomics and spaciousness.
