The main venue of the event will be Ljubljana, and the accompanying program will also take place in other major cities in Slovenia. After last year's successful concert by one of the most prestigious and high-quality philharmonic orchestras in the world, the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the upcoming Winter Festival will offer an even larger selection of world-renowned musicians. Between February 10 and 14, 2018, the versatile musician and violin virtuoso Nigel Kennedy will perform, after a long hiatus the New Swing Quartet is returning with a concert celebrating their 50th anniversary, and the festival will be rounded off with an evening of opera arias by one of the world's leading tenors, Ramón Vargas and internationally renowned soprano Elvira Hasanagić.
Ment Ljubljana 2018 will take place between January 31 and February 2, 2018. The main focus of the festival is on the music scene from the regional and Eastern European area, but the festival is not completely limited by this framework. Last year, Ment 2017 was visited by more than 3,400 visitors, and as many as 421 musicians performed. Tickets for the festival are already on sale.
