Mercedes-AMG has the Project One, Red Bull and Aston Martin have the Valkyrie, and with any luck Toyota will have the GR Super Sport Concept. The first two draw their experience from the Formula 1 championship and create road-going supercars. Toyota is gaining experience in endurance competitions, the result of which is the GR Super Sport. For now still in concept form, but soon maybe in series production.
Toyota presented its vision of the future at this year's CES 2018. This one may not be the prettiest in terms of design at first glance, but it will be that much more useful for everyday purposes. The Toyota e-Palette is a vision of autonomous delivery vehicles, and the project has already attracted the interest of big names such as Amazon, DiDi, Mazda, Pizza Hut and Uber.
At Toyota, they emphasize that the Toyota FT-AC is only a design experiment, although it has many interesting things that we can easily imagine on one of the production cars in the near future. Maybe the cameras won't catch on that quickly, but when it comes to off-road driving and exploring the unknown, Toyota has definitely hit the nail on the head in this case.
Toyota's minivan doesn't have a flashy name, it was named Fine-Comfort Ride. More than the name, we were certainly attracted by the shape, which Toyota claims is a new form of premium MPV.
The Toyota TJ Cruiser Concept will be perfect for you if you've always wanted a delivery van and SUV. It will also come in handy for those who, due to their needs, already have both of the aforementioned body versions of the car. Recently, Toyota announced the introduction of GR models into its range. GR-cars will represent more sport-oriented versions of conventional models, which will thus be even more attractive to buyers. The latest Toyota GR HV Sports concept suggests just this sportiness, and perhaps also the successor to the Toyota GT86.
The hustle and bustle in city centers is also interesting, because there is always something going on. And to be as mobile, agile and nimble as possible in this dirndaj, it is best to have one of the compact little ones at hand. Size matters a lot in the city, and in this case, of course, smaller is better. Here are the best city cars of 2017.
This time we will focus a little more on SUVs in the true sense of the word. Forget about the 'make-up artists' who are afraid of even a slightly bigger mud puddle, and forget about those 'experts' who absolutely must have four-wheel drive to drive around town.
Who would have thought that remote control cars could tow an SUV like the Toyota Hilux? But 15 Tamiya Hilux Bruiser 4x4s (based on the old Toyota Hilux) weren't daunted by the challenge and pulled the 3.2 tonne brute. Don't believe it? See for yourself.
All the latest concept vehicles are flocking to New York these days, because the auto show is held there. One such is the Toyota FT-4X, a compact SUV concept that showcases Toyota's latest design ideas, and above all, the designers have given vent to their creativity in the interior, where everything has a dual function.
The Slovenian Car of the Year 2017 also became the European Car of the Year 2017. This happened for the second time in a row. Check out who beat the Alfa Romeo Giulia in the photo finish and succeeded the Opel Astra on the throne.
