Before we do a detailed review of the music festivals in our vicinity, it is worth looking at the top ten festivals in Europe, which are also announcing very loud names this year.

There is nothing better than lying on the grass in a short t-shirt and trousers, sandals and with a hat on your head, listening to a piece of your favorite band echoing not far away, above the crowd of people who came there for the same reason - to consume festival music atmosphere with a full spoon. While the hustle and bustle of the city already raises questions about which music festivals must be caught this year, we searched for the best in Europe.

1. International Benicassim Festival, Spain

Serious music fans are probably the only ones besides Spaniards who have heard of the international Benicassim festival. Benicassim is a small port town between Barcelona and Valencia that hosts a fantastic music festival every year. It offers four unforgettable days of alternative rock, electronic music, and is also known for a good rave. This year's program between July 17 and 20 will be varied - with The Kasabians, Paul Weller and Lily Allen at the head, but they also join them Chase & Status, Ellie Goulding, Tame Impala, Sub Focus and others.

2. Roskilde Festival, Denmark

Roskilde Festival in Denmark is one of the largest European music festivals, considered to be non-profit event, whose purpose is to develop music and culture in this area. As usual, the festival is a unique mix of music, 24-hour parties, organic and experimental art and design. Between June 29 and July 6, Roskilde will be a meeting place for unforgettable experiences, which will be filled with music Arctic Monkeys, Major Lazer, Damon Albarn, Deerhunter, Interol, Moderate and many others.

3. Open'er Festival, Poland

A big event Open'er Festival he will occupy a small town in Poland between July 2 and 5 Gdynia on the north coast. 4. INmusic Festival, Croatia

The biggest Croatian outdoor festival INmusic started his career in 2005 on an idyllic small island on Lake Jarun in the immediate vicinity of Zagreb. This year, the two-day festival will be held between June 23 and 25 Pixies, Glogging Molly, The Black Keys, MGMT, Crystal Fighters and others, and you can read more about the festival here.

5. Exit, Serbia

Award-winning summer European music festival Exit will also occupy the Petrovardin fortress in Novi Sad this year. Between July 10 and 13, it will be ruled by big names from the world of music, such as Damon Albarn, Disclosure, Rudimental, Skrillex and others.
Ticket price: from 58 to 116.5 euros, various ticket packages are available, which also include camping and transportation.

6. Pukkelpop, Belgium

A famous Belgian festival Pukkelpop takes place in the middle of August, between August 14 and 16 to be exact, in a huge wooded area near Hasselt and attracts more than 180 thousand visitors every year. The program for the second biggest festival in Belgium is always voted by the fans. This year they received the most votes Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The National, Outkast, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Queens of the Stone Age (on picture), Royksopp and many others.

7. Pinkpop Festival, Netherlands

Dutch festival Pinkpop is one of the oldest festivals in the world, since its journey began in 1970. Between June 7 and 9, this year it will take place in the Landgraaf, where they come Metallica (on picture), Arcade Fire, Ed Sheeran, Bastille, Epic and others.

8. Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Germany

Germans are known for their love of rock, so it's no surprise that the sister event Rock am Ring and Rock im Park they combine one of the biggest music festivals in the world. 9. Sziget Festival, Hungary

The most famous Hungarian festival Sziget festival has a heart in Budapest, the capital of our neighbor Hungary. The event, which is visited by more than 350,000 people every year, lasts a week and hosts around 1,000 performers at the end of the week. Between August 11 and 18, they will reign on the stage this year Lily Allen, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons, La Roux, London Grammar and many others.

10. The Isle of Wight Festival, Great Britain

The Isle of Wight Festival enjoys a long and colorful history. The festival had its first performance in 1968, and a year later Bob Dylan already performed in front of a crowd of 200 thousand people. While The Isle of Wight played host to legendary names in 1970 in front of 600,000 visitors - Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and The Who, will also celebrate their visit this year between June 12 and 15 Red Hot Chili Peppers (on picture), Biffy Clyra, Rudimental, The Passenger and The 1985.
Ticket price: a weekend ticket, which includes camping, is around 225 euros, and a daily ticket is 89 euros.
