ZenFone 2 is the flagship of the Taiwanese company Asus, which was the first among smartphones with 4 GB of working memory. But that is far from all that this premium phone, which is also available in Slovenia, has to offer the user. The ZenFone family is a newcomer to the Slovenian market, headed by the ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) model, which we had the opportunity to get to know.
Smartphone Asus ZenFone 2 with label ZE551ML is the most powerful version of the ZenFon 2, which is joined by a pair labeled ZE500CL with a slightly smaller screen (5.5-inch vs. 5 inches). The purchase will pay you back 10X as the phone does not disappoint. The camera is amazing, the colors are amazing, the performance is amazing, even the battery cannot be called the Achilles' heel. But we're going in order. Let's start with the name. You probably quickly realized that the phone from the Far East, which has in the name zen, can't be a coincidence. And it didn't. ZenFone 2 embodies all the elements of this philosophy. It is extremely thin and ergonomically designed with a slightly worn body made of brushed aluminum.
The first big change he experienced in relation to the competition is volume button, which has moved to the back, thus complying with the index finger, which usually performs this operation and prefers to stay right there while holding the phone. Power button meanwhile, we now find it on the "head". It is adorned with a 5.5-inch IPS Full HD resolution screen 1920 x 1080 pixels (with a density of 403ppi) that offers 178-degree viewing angle, which in our opinion is a rather reserved figure, as we could add at least another degree to it.
Asus TruVivid thanks to the technology for the phenomenal colors (you can adjust them for reading, watching a video, etc.), the durability of the screen, the edge protection with 3.3 mm thick glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and special covers for 30 percent better gliding and less noticeable fingerprints on it. And when we wondered what the recipe for such good response to commands was, the answer was hidden in his 60-millisecond reaction time on touch.

Under the hood 170 grams Asus ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) hides 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor (2.3 GHz) - the OS sits on it Android v5.0 Lollipop– and what 4 GB of working memory. These two are the main reason that it literally leapfrogged its predecessor and many competitors in terms of ability. It can connect to mobile networks 4G/LTE, and for even more you can "turn on" the wireless connection 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Somehow there is no shortage of "parking places" for two SIM cards (Dual Active technology) and one reserved for micro SD card. Battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh it gets you safely through the day, and you only have to "park" the phone for 60 percent of the charge for 39 minutes (the information has been verified to be true).
If we stop at the PixelMaster camera. This one has a resolution of 13 million pixels, dual LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, which is possible manual camera control mode (ISO, shutter speed,…) the reason you won't miss a digital camera even in low light conditions. The front camera has 5 million pixels and an 85-degree field of view, with the function ZenUI Selfie Panorama, and can stretch it up to 140 degrees. ZenUI is otherwise an umbrella name for the user interface, which has really outdone itself this time. Admittedly, you will have to pay a hefty sum for it 449 euros, but hefty only until you realize how much you get for it. If this is still too much for your "budget", you still have it two cheaper alternatives (for 199 and 299 euros respectively) with a slightly more modest but still powerful equipment package.
