If you've lost count of how many Fonepads Asus has already released, you're not the only one. There's nothing wrong with that, because Asus is just pushing the limits of tablets with which you can also make calls, further and further. Although many people laugh at the sight of someone talking on the phone with a device with a 7-inch screen - we admit, we thought it was funny at first too - but once you get to know the tablet, you no longer pay attention to the opinions of others, and even less to the competition.
Android tablet Asus Fonepad 7 compared to her predecessor, she upgraded her knowledge, and she was also in the gym, because she thinner (7.9mm), easier (280 g) and narrower. She also visited a stylist, but the corrections are only cosmetic Asus adheres to the principles "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Unfortunately, the compactness that we understand from the numbers does not mean that we can manage it with one hand, which you probably didn't expect from a tablet. But it would if it were pretending to be a bulky smartphone.
We had snow white on the test, but it is also available in black, red and gold, and for a touch of prestige, all of them have a metal trim. On the side, they are hiding behind a narrow "havba". two SIM card parking spaces) (if you want to be reachable on two numbers), while on the back top left we find f/2.4 aperture camera, 8 MP (records in HD resolution 1080p at 30 frames per second) and Asus technology PixelMaster (analyzes received dots and adjusts light sensitivity). Its assistant, which is located in front, has a resolution of 2 MP (720p). If until now cameras were the weak point of Fonepad tablets, this is no longer the case. For the most part, it shows the colors accurately, but in the case of low light, it doesn't really excel, but which tablet? Autofocus is quite fast, and many interesting filters brighten up the image. Perhaps only the HDR mode is a little restrained. We recommend the front camera for Skyping, but leave the photography to her colleague.
7 inch screen with Multi-touch technology (detects at the same time up to 5 fingers) provides 178-degree viewing angle, which is especially convenient when you have heads around you, who are staring at your tablet in unison. We have to thank for the really precise display of colors IPS matrices, and the contents on the screen appear extremely vivid (natural color reproduction), which goes "to the heart" of the technology Asus TruVivid (higher optical transmittance). This, in combination with a very satisfactory luminosity, offers a picture for "glutton" despite the relatively modest resolution (600x1024, pixel density 170 ppi), which applies to one column of tablets.
The new Fonepad 7 has a dual-core processor Intel Atom Z2520 operating system loaded Android 4.4 KitKat, and it is held upright by a capacity battery 3950 mAh, which is a real luxury for the user. With average use, it lasted a whole day without making calls, otherwise you can expect almost a dozen hours in the 2G network, and in 3G a day and a half.

Final assessment. Yes, if you want convenient and very responsive a tablet with which you can also make phone calls on occasion. Not if you plan to exchange it for a smartphone. It is, however, a tablet with heart and soul. And also in terms of size.
