Autumn is coming. The long, hot, summer days are behind us and the leaves on the trees are slowly changing colors. While fall doesn't get nearly the same treatment on the small screen as, say, winter or summer, that doesn't mean there aren't a number of great films that highlight the spirit of the season. We've compiled a list of the best fall movies that capture her spirit in all its glory.
1. The Last Waltz (1978)
The film was shot on Thanksgiving day 1978 and this classic rock documentary is an autumn tradition for many.
2. When Harry Met Sally (Ko Harry met Sall, 1989)
This romance spans several seasons, and it is true that one of the most famous scenes in the film is precisely the scene at New Year's. But who could forget Harry and Sally's autumn walk through the park? This is enough to make even the most "cold" among us want to put on a warm sweater, prepare a hot coffee and comb the city for a potential soulmate with whom we could exchange some humorous conversation.
3. Rushmore (1998)
The Wes Anderson classic spans the entire fall; it begins with the start of the school year, moves through Halloween and Thanksgiving, and wraps around Christmas as a gift.
4. You've Got Mail (Chaka te pošt@, 1998)
This romantic comedy sticks to the book like a stick, but that's probably why it's so popular. This film is proof that love is in the air even in autumn.
5. Hannah and Her Sisters (Hannah and Her Sisters, 1986)
The timeline of Woody Allen's film spans two years, and is framed by Thanksgiving dinners at Hannah (Mia Farrow) and Elliot (Michael Caine). The holiday serves as the perfect backdrop for family drama as we are drawn in by a tale of adultery, existential crisis and wit that only Woody Allen can create.

6. Rudy (1993)
Even before he was a hobbit, Sean Astin was Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, a football player who dreamed of playing for Notre Dame. 7. Harold and Maude (Harold and Maude, 1971)
We don't mean to be morbid, but in many ways autumn is actually also the season of death. The leaves dry up, wither and fall away. Salt and frost kill the soil and what remains of our summer gardens. And perhaps autumn is the best time to revisit the story of a death-obsessed, suicidal teenager who falls in love with a seventy-year-old lady who helps him rediscover his zest for life.
8. Dead Poets Society (1989)
Walks around a fresh, well-kept campus, matching jackets and discussing poetry with an inspiring teacher… until the idyll is shattered by some conservative parents and guardians.
9. Garden State (2004)
Autumn brings with it a certain dejection, melancholy, and this feeling can certainly be found in the movie Garden State. Andrew (Zach Braff) returns home to New Jersey and feels that the metaphorical garden he left behind is frozen today.
10. October Sky (Oktobrsko nebo, 1999)
In the fall of 1957, teenager Homer Hickham watches Sputnik travel through the night sky. He soon becomes obsessed with building rockets, which for him represent an escape from the mining town of Coalwood.
