And, of course, we were looking forward to spring, or we probably started preparing for it. And these are the best city bikes with which we will ride in the first days of spring.
Cycling is certainly one of the more pleasant activities that spring brings. Whether in the city or in nature, the warm sun in the face puts us in a good mood. Well, we're moving a little more after the long winter. And that's why we prepared for you list of the best city bikes, which you will be able to bring to the streets at the first trumpets on the meadows.
REVO - a city bike for two
Revo is a city bike for two people. It has a rather unusual look (what else would you expect from an industrial designer), but it has its own 'why' to your 'why'. The shape of the seat is quite similar to city scooter seats, which are much wider, longer and more comfortable compared to classic ones. Due to its size, it is suitable for two people.
TERN GSD – electric and cargo bike
It's no longer than a standard electric bike, and it's also quick and easy to fold, so you can put it in the trunk of a car, in an elevator, or in an apartment without too much trouble. The low center of gravity and smart design allow for the installation of up to two child seats, but you will still have enough space for the weekly groceries.
THE LOAD – multifunctional bike
Well, we've seen baskets and bags on the side many times before, but The Load bike has something that those bikes don't - an electric motor. With it, we also overcome slopes, and if we are weighed down, this is an excellent solution. BMW HYRID E-BICYCLE – a bike from both worlds
The BMW Active Hybrid e-bicycle has the battery and motor completely integrated into the aluminum frame, which can therefore have an elegant and sporty design. It is accented by frozen black and arctic silver. The Brose electric motor can be switched on at any time to help drive the pedals. The electric motor produces 90 Nm of torque and thus greatly contributes to better agility and driving dynamics.
PRODRIVE HUMMINGBIRD – the lightest folding bike
The new Prodriva bike was named Hummingbird or Kolibri in Slovenian. The bike weighs only 6.9 kilograms and can be folded in just five seconds. This is said to be the lightest folding bike weight and fastest folding bike time in the world. It has such a low weight due to the use of carbon fibers, from which the Hummingbird's frame is made. The material used is four times stronger than steel, but weighs only a quarter of the weight compared to steel.
RIESE & MÜLLER DELITE DT – the best electric bike
To mark the 25th anniversary of Riese & Müller, the people responsible decided to create the best electric bike. A third GT Signature was added to the already existing models from the Delite series. This one has 27.5-inch wheels, on which it wears wide tires, which can easily cope with even a little wilder terrain. The stability system ensures that all of this is not too much trouble, and that there is no accidental power outage, as many as 2 batteries are at our disposal.
BILLY – electric BMX bike
Billy is basically a BMX bike with a bit of electricity added to it. After more than a year of testing and modifying the prototype bike, the company is now finally satisfied with the final result. They offered it to buyers on the Kickstarter platform and have already sold quite a few. There is no BMX bike without a characteristic handlebar, which was not forgotten in this case either. It allows for responsive and precise control of the bike, which will certainly come in handy in busy city centers.
S-BIKES F50e – an electric bike for everyone
Anyone who has never tried riding an electric bike does not know what a pleasure it is when you reach speeds of around 25 kilometers per hour with really minimal effort. You won't get tired of the various inclines, which are not lacking in busy city centers. Therefore, it is no wonder that the electric bike is the choice of various users in the warm and cyclist-friendly months, who easily cover many city kilometers and go on long weekend trips with it. And recently also to the mountains.
WHIPPET – for a comfortable ride
The Whippet has an elegant and 'chic' look, but at first glance it would be hard to say that it differs from the others in any other way in terms of construction. Come on. The frame consists of two oval tubes that run parallel and ensure an even more compact frame. The tubes were made by the world's leading manufacturers of bicycle components, Columbus Oval Tubing and Reynolds Technology. "Controlled flexing" is what Whippet called the response of both tubes to the pressure caused by holes in the road and similar obstacles that make for an uncomfortable ride.
TURBO VADO 5.0 – Is it even noticeable that it is an electric bike?
Specialized, the manufacturer of all kinds of bikes, put a lot of work into the design of the new Turbo Vado 5.0 model, and in our opinion, the effort paid off. It would be difficult to find out that it is also powered by an electric motor, as it is nicely hidden in the aluminum frame. On the underside of the diagonal support, they installed a 350-watt electric motor and a powerful 600 Wh battery, which can be easily removed for charging purposes. All the electrical components, including the cables, are so well hidden that basically the only element that gives away that the Vado is an electric bike is the 2.2-inch TFT screen on the handlebars.
CAPUCHIN BIKE – healthy like a bike, practical like a scooter
The Capuchin bike by Monkey Faction is a simple hipster idea of how to combine the practicality of a scooter and a bicycle. At the same time, it is incredibly different from the average. At first glance, the frame of the bike resembles a scooter, and because of this, according to the designers, it is extremely friendly to non-cycling styling, as longer clothes do not get tangled in the chain. In addition, the 'scooter' seat of the bike allows you to store various wallets, phones and the like - just like a real scooter.
