The book "The Killer Detail: Defining Moments in Fashion" consists of 120 photographs of influential personalities who in one way or another influenced fashion with their dressing and appearance.
The portraits are accompanied by a text by the authors François Armanet and Élisabeth Quin, who analyze the styling of the portrait subjects and describe those unique fashion details that made them stand out and by which we remembered them. They looked for killer details among writers, artists, performers, models, actors who left their mark on the fashion of the 20th century. Marlene Dietrich's pantsuit, Kate Moss' tight jeans, Liz Taylor's leopard-print swimsuit or Jimi Hendrix's military jackets. The individuals in the book were not afraid of new fashion perspectives, they just created trends that were later adopted by the masses.
