Pantone has announced the color of the year, namely Living Coral. It is a shade of orange with a golden undertone that reflects the warmth and shelter of coral reefs for marine life. Pantone also adds that the color symbolizes "an innate need for optimism and joy" and "authentic and immersive experiences that enable connection and intimacy."
“Color is a language, and color is inextricably linked to culture,” says Laurie Pressman, vice president at Pantone Color Institute. Shade Living Coral, which is the color of 2019, appeared both on catwalks, in the beauty segment, progressively on influencer posts and on product packaging. This color should remind you of recreation, life in peace, to celebrate – aspects of life that are necessary to be able to balance all the challenges we face throughout the day and over the years.
The color Living Coral conveniently reminds us of respecting and protecting nature and natural resources. Coral reefs are an important part of our environment, as they protect and at the same time grow and nurture marine ecosystems, help filter water and reproduce marine life.
