The 1974 film The Night Porter is premiering in a stage version. We expect a lot, because then and still today the film is considered one of the most controversial.
Attempts to escape from the past are hopeless, once, today and anytime in the future. Theme The night porter is facing just that. Max is a night porter who, when Lucia arrives at the hotel, is confronted with a past that he has managed to hide well until now. He was an SS officer in a Nazi concentration camp and had a special relationship with Lucia. The reunification of their love is controversial, especially for those (SS officers) who are connected with the events and who want to leave their past hidden. Lucia represents a threat to them and, in a way, a confrontation with the sins of the past.
In the jury, Nona Ciaberu, Lucia is played by Nataša Matjašec Rošker, and Max is played by Peter Boštjančič.
