It's been 9 long years since we last 'drooled' over the Porsche Speedster. And you can imagine how excited we are now that they have introduced the new Speedster, which is based on the latest Porsche 911.
Porsche 911 Speedster, despite curbing our emotions, made us drool rather quickly. The external image is fantastic, but the one below it is even more pleasing. Under the seductive lines hides the engine from the coiled 911 GT3, which has 4.0-liter volume, rotates on 9,000 plants and has almost 510 horsepower (374 kW). The Speedster will be suitable for 'purists', as the only option to shift will be available through manual, 6-speed gearbox. The Speedster also had to do a little to match its power to lose weight, and he got rid of excess weight by using it carbonaceous fiber and ceramic ones brakes, which are for halves easier from standard, iron brakes. Opening and closing the canvas roof is completely 'manual work', as the electrical system would mean again additionally weight. At Porsche, they even went so far as to removed also climatic device, but they will install it back for you if you really want it.
Porsche plans to build around 1,948 Speedsters. Despite the not so limited series, the price it won't be low, but how much it will amount to is not yet clear at the moment. It will be available to new owners wristwatch, which will match the style of the car. Porsche has hit the mark again, and we are already thinking on which wall to hang the poster with the image of the latest Porsche 911 Speedster.
