After a few years of hiatus, Irish music revellers The Dubliners are returning to the capital and Križanke. Together they have been creating and spreading awareness of Irish folk music for almost half a century. After an incredible forty-nine years of activity, the guys are still performing and getting crowds singing and dancing all over the world. In Ljubljana, they will perform as a band consisting of Eamonn Campbell, John Sheahan, Barney McKenna, Séan Cannon and Patsy Watchorn. They began their musical journey back in 1962, when they played in Irish pubs and hotels for a few pounds under the name Ronnie Drew Folk Group. They took their current name from the famous collection of short stories by Dublin writer James Joyce. A lot of water and beer has passed since then, but the guys are still present on the world music scene. They have released thirty-six albums and played a lot of concerts all over the world. They will also sing their greatest hits for us in Križanke and throw us a party like only they can.
