This recipe is quick and easy, so it's perfect for those who aren't used to baking.

The best thing about homemade dog biscuits is that you can experiment with different shapes and ingredients, such as pumpkin, carrot or sweet potato. Ingredients

  • 250 g wholemeal flour
  • 100 g oatmeal
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free and salt-free peanut butter
  • 60 ml water (add more if necessary)

Directions

  1. Prepare the dough: Preheat the oven to 180 °C. In a large bowl, mix the wholemeal flour and oatmeal.
  2. Add the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, mash the banana. Add the egg, peanut butter, and mix well.
  3. To combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until you have a compact dough. If the mixture is too stiff, add a few tablespoons of water.
  4. Shape the cookies: Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  5. Baking: Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cooling: Cool the cookies and store them in a sealed container.
