A simple Italian lasagna recipe
Ingredients
- To prepare lasagna according to this recipe, you need a few basic ingredients that can be found in almost every store:
- 1 package of lasagna pasta
- 500 g grated mozzarella
- 100 g of grated parmesan
- Pinch of salt
- 500 g of mixed minced meat
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 800 ml of tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon of dry spices
- 150 g of ricotta
- A little chopped parsley
- 1 egg
Directions
- First, cook the lasagna pasta, but be careful not to overcook it. After cooking, rinse them under cold water and set them aside to drain. Add a drop of oil to the water to prevent the pasta from sticking together while cooking. If you are using pasta that does not need to be cooked beforehand, skip this step.
- Preparation of the meat sauce: Fry the minced meat together with the chopped onion and garlic on a medium temperature. When the onion becomes translucent, add the tomato sauce and dry spices. Cook the sauce on low heat to infuse the flavors. If you want a more intense taste, you can add a little basil or oregano.
- Preparation of the cheese mixture: In another bowl, mix mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, egg and chopped parsley. Mix well to get a uniform mixture, which will be the key to the rich taste of the lasagna. Ricotta gives the lasagna a special creamy texture that will provide extra juiciness.
- Assembling the lasagna: Grease the pan with a little oil and start layering. First put a layer of pasta, then meat sauce and cheese mixture on top. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of pasta. You can sprinkle extra mozzarella on top of the lasagna or pour cooking cream over it for a richer dish.
- Baking and serving: Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the lasagna for about 35 to 40 minutes. After the lasagna is baked, let it cool for a few minutes, as it will be easier to cut and serve.
- Before serving, you can decorate the lasagna with fresh parsley or grated parmesan for additional aroma.
