One of the most beautiful and nearest Advent fairs is certainly the one in Bjelaški, which has been delighting locals and visitors since November 22.
The traditional part of the fair, called Belja traditional Advent, forms a circle around the city parish church with wooden stands, the Belgian Culinary Advent takes place on the main square (Hauptplatz), and the cultural part of the December offer is in the park of the Parkhotel. They also opened at the end of November skating rink in front of the town hall, and the children's program is complemented by a small one Zoo, where children can pet farm animals, ride ponies, and enjoy puppet shows in the puppet theatre.
Two days before the holy evening, on December 22 to be exact, the Belja society Villacher Bauerngman (association of leading figures in the field of crafts and trade) organizes the Farmers' Advent, a festive procession, the purpose of which is to make children in need happy for the third time in a row. Beljak is a town at the foot of the Alps with a Mediterranean feel, to which the buildings of the old town, built in the Renaissance style, help a lot. To visit advent markets a walk through the city streets is also included, where many bars and cafes and, of course, shops invite you to stop. If you want to have a roof over your head and a pleasant warm temperature while shopping, the ATRIO shopping center is the right address for you, which is located just a few kilometers from the city center, and on a sales area of 28,000 m2, more than 80 shops, restaurants, bars and 2,000 parking spaces.
