The first creatively equipped kindergarten comes from Japan

Kindergarten is a little different

Piccolino Kindergarten brings a breath of fresh air to the crowd of average and usually quite boring schools and kindergartens.

Creative spaces have many positive effects on the youngest, and lately there are always such schools, as well as kindergartens, which stand out from the rather boring, averagely equipped public institutions. One such was created in Japan, in the city Kanagawa and is the work of a Japanese company Moriyuki Ochiai Architects. A room that measures 90 square meters and is part of Piccolino Kindergarten, is designed as a large mountain surrounded by clouds. The purpose of this space is to be interesting and to awaken the imagination of both children and adults, but it is certainly perceived differently by different generations. Children explore the space as they bounce from one seat to another, climb the elements, through small passageways and through the clouds all the way to the top of the mountain. In all of this, the architects paid special attention to the elements, so that there are no sharp shapes and that the playroom is safe for the youngest. Movable pieces allow the youngest to arrange the space in their own way, the triangles can be a step for climbing a mountain or a chair. The space is used as an art classroom, as well as for performances, exhibitions, concerts, and children's workshops.
