The history of Slovenian alpinism is the long-awaited monograph they signed Urban Golob and Peter Mikša. The book, which they wrote will serve as a textbook for alpinists, and as extremely interesting reading for everyone else, puts our alpinism on the international mountaineering and book stage. In the book, the authors discuss the development of alpinism from a sports perspective, from the first documented performances in the 18th century to the ascents of the current generations, and highlight 37 of the most important figures in our alpinism. A special text is dedicated to the history of approaches and climbing in the north face of Triglav - the symbol of our alpinism.
