The most anticipated TV adaptations of 2017

The new year is full of exciting changes and innovations. As expected, we will also be delighted with new TV series throughout the year, many of which will certainly be excellent and extremely tense. Especially interesting will be those whose story already lives between book covers. Read on for the most anticipated TV adaptations of 2017.

The most anticipated TV adaptations of 2017:

The Cormoran Strike Series (JK Rowling)

This year, we will be delighted by the adaptation of JK Rowling's crime novels. The production will be taken over by the BBC, and the premiere is expected towards the end of the year.

The Outlander Series (Diana Gabaldon)

The third season of the popular Outlander series is coming. The writers are promising us some more insight into Claire and Frank's past, and we're also hoping to find out what happened to Jamie. The outcome is expected at the beginning of spring.

American Gods (Neil Gaiman)

A TV adaptation of the extensive novel by Neil Gaiman, who will also participate in the production of the serial version, among other things. We expect the first part sometime in April.

A Series of Unfortunate Evens (Lemony Snicket)

If you haven't read all 13 parts of this incredible saga, now is your last chance to finally do so. But hurry, the first part of the series is already available for viewing.

His Dark Matter (Philip Pullman)

The first part of this fantastic trilogy got a film adaptation years ago, but it did the book a real injustice. Fingers crossed that the series will be more successful under the tactics of the BBC.

Anna from the Green Homestead (LM Montgomery)

The most popular Canadian book heroine, after numerous film adaptations, is coming to TV screens this year in a renewed image, for which Netflix will be responsible.

A Girl's Tale (Margaret Atwood)

On April 26, 2017, the first part of the series Deklina kostovja will be shown on TV screens. Elizabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel and Samira Wiley will star in this suspenseful dystopia.

Big Little Lies (Liane Moriarty)

If the author's last name reminds you of the person in question (hint: Sherlock Holmes), we have to disappoint you that it is not actually Moriarty's hidden wife. But the theme of the TV adaptation is somewhat related to the most popular villain: the series Big Little Lies tells about the lives of women who are connected to murder.

Sharp Objects (Gillian Flynn)

After the excellent film Gone Girl, we expect an adaptation of Flynn's novel Sharp Objects. Amy Adams will try out for the lead role.
