And while social networks ensured that we got the necessary dose of fun and "cool" material to share, the year was also marked by photographs that failed to break through to the forefront, even though they are important documents of the time and illuminate things a little differently. Just like every year, it is also the year 2014 served up with many dramatic events, which took place in very different areas.
