Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 espresso or 1/4 cup strong coffee
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt

Directions

  1. In a large cup or glass, combine the oatmeal, chia seeds, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, milk, and 1–2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Mix well to combine.
  2. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator. Let it rest for at least 6 hours – ideally overnight.
  3. In the morning, mix Greek yogurt with 1/2 to 3/4 tablespoon of syrup to create a slightly sweet and silky layer.
  4. In a glass, alternate layers of cooled oatmeal and sweetened yogurt.
  5. Finish with a gentle sprinkling of cocoa on top for the perfect tiramisu effect.
If you are a fan of honey, use it instead of maple syrup. Don't like strong coffee? Replace it with a milder cocoa drink. No dairy products? Yogurt and plant-based milk will be just as effective.
