Audi brought three new products to the Paris Motor Show, but the most attention is the new Audi Q5, the first in eight years. The second generation of the medium-sized sports utility vehicle is slightly lighter and more spacious than its predecessor, and the newcomer has also come up with a much sportier look. He's stepping into big shoes, as the Q5 was the commercial class champion for quite some time. Audi has high hopes for him, so he left nothing to chance.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the new mid-sized SUV bursting with advanced systems that take care of comfort, safety and driving efficiency. According to the new it measures 4.66 meters in length, 1.66 meters in height and 1.89 meters in width, while the wheelbase is 2.82 meters.
The bodywork is a cocktail of aluminum and extremely hard steels, mixed together according to the recipe of smart construction for exceptional strength. Audi completely ventilated the interior and emphasized the flexibility and spaciousness of the passenger cabin. The luggage compartment has volume between 550 and 1550 liters. For easier folding, the Audi Q5 can be significantly lowered with the help of air suspension (which is offered as an option).
It will be decorated with a 12.3-inch screen with HD resolution and 8.3 inch tablet (on top of the center console). It will be possible to connect to the Internet via the MMI communication system LTE interface or Wi-Fi access points. For smartphones, they will take care of the interface Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and wireless charger. There are also digital gauges and heads-up a screen for projecting driving data and navigation onto the windshield. He adds his own ambient lighting and a signature audio system Bang & Olufsen. To better driving characteristics in addition to lower weight and driving programs that define the character of the new Audi Q5 (the new feature is the off-road driving mode with greater ground clearance and program all road for on-the-fly adjustment) and we intervene in all the key settings of the vehicle, it also adds the quattro four-wheel drive (the exception will be the 110-kilowatt diesel, which will only have drive to the front two wheels), which adjusts the torque to individual wheels on the fly. The engine range will include three diesel derivatives – two-liter TDI V4 engine with 110, 120 and 140 kW – and two petrol engines – two-liter supercharged V4 engine, TFSI series with 185 kW, and three-liter V6 TDI engine. Only the latter will transmit power to the wheels via an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox, and all the others will have to make do with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed S Tronic automatic transmission.

The new Audi Q5 will be available in 14 different color shades and packed in five different packages (Sport, Design, S Line, Design Selection and S Line sport). It goes on sale in 2017.
