The guitar is a distinctly melodic instrument, the strings of which create a whole range of sounds. What tones does the world's oldest guitar make?
Italian musician and designer Lorenzo Palmeri he designed the oldest guitar in the world using ancient cowrie (non-fossil wood that is preserved by the absence of oxygen), the most exotic wood in the world. He teamed up with a furniture maker and wood specialist, waterfront 1920, who helped him process this 50,000 year old material.
Using this, he designed a typical modern electric guitar silhouette, combined with the traditional 'femininity' of the original acoustic instrument.
The guitar is available in still two models. The second model is made of nanotechnological material, called fenix NTM, which he 'poured' into the guitar with the help of the company Arpa indsutriale. The uneven surface topography has very little light reflectance and soft touch effect. The third and last model is classic the "consumer" version, which is made of beech wood.
The bodies of all three guitars are composed of two conflicting messages: roundness suggests a female form, which is characteristic of the classical guitar, while it is masculine side visible from strong 'shoulders'. Contrasting elements thus represent characteristics of the guitar voice, which can be extended from 'very sweet' to 'very strong' tone.
