The rebirth of the classic Drop chair

After almost fifty years since it was first presented to the public, the classic Drop chair has seen the light of day again.

After the company Republic of Fritz Hansen in April of this year, at the Milan furniture fair, they announced that they would revive production of the classic Drop chair it finally arrived on the market recently. Danvega designed the chair in 1958 Arne Jacobsen, one of the most prominent architects of the modernist era. Basically, the Drop, Swan and Egg chairs were made in a limited edition exclusively for Radisson Scandinavian furnishings System Hotel in Copenhagen, the Swan and Egg chairs soon went into mass production and became cult design pieces, elegant Drop but has sunk into oblivion until today.

Drop chair, which resembles a floating drop in shape, consists of a plastic seat surface and extremely thin metal legs. Today is because of the new ones materials technologies available in many different colors and even skins.
