The Stroj collective released their fourth album entitled Metafonik. The final production image of the album was given by their long-time collaborator Aldo Ivančič and the new reinforcement of the collective, Velenje producer, musician and multimedia artist Stane Špegel.
The Machine present themselves on the new album with a strongly updated and electrified sound that expresses their unique vision of retrofuturistic music and creates a soundscape for the times to come. Primož Oberžan said about the creative process: "We created the Metafonik album at a time of great changes, both socially and in the band's line-up itself. Most of the compositions thus went through a long process of metamorphoses, which most often led from mechanical percussion designs through electromechanical superstructure to electronic finalization. The starting idea that guided us through the creative process was the critical use of technology, which is not subject to the imperative of efficiency but to the creativity of the human spirit. Despite the pronounced electronic upgrade of the compositions, the entire rhythm section is still in the hands of living people, who, with the swing of their hands in a collective spirit, drive the musical machine forward in their own rhythm."
With a new single Zombie Hunters are announcing the production of a computer game in which we can be Slovenian zombies accompanied by their music.
