The LLSTOL by Slovenian architect Luka Ločičnik was presented for the first time this January at the German interior fair Imm Cologne in Cologne. The extraordinary creation was thus extremely successfully ranked among the 10 most innovative products, and it was also published in the renowned newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Project LLSTOL started with a short workshop at Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, aimed at young people who live in small apartments and have limited financial resources for equipment. The original guidelines dictated so simple design and minimum number of elements.
After a year of research and development, they were created sophisticated L-shaped interior elements, which they are multifunctionaloh, because they can be folded into a comfortable chair, bench, table or even a bookshelf. It also has the advantage of easy assembly without additional components and easy storage in a small space. In appearance beech wood laminate plywood boards bring the warmth of a playful nature into the home.
In September 2012, in cooperation with Paul Robinson and Nikom Klanško launched as the first Slovenian design product crowdfunding campaign (crowdfunding, Eng.) on the website Kickstarter, where they gathered near 22,000 dollars and received 117 orders LLSTOL chairs. This provided them with the foundation for further development.
Today, LLSTOL is available in different colors and with charming textile accessories, which resemble knitted socks, which makes the extraordinary design even more unique. In the future, they are also planning production from other materials, such as cement boards, which would also allow the product to be used outdoors.
