Until now, the tallest statue in the world was the Spring Temple of Buddha, which measures 128 meters in height. That's about to change. Namely, a statue will soon be built in India, which will take away the title of the tallest in the world from the Chinese monument.
The height of the statue is 182 meters, but renders Sardar Patel, the first Prime Minister of India. For comparison, New York's Statue of Liberty is 93 meters tall. The company will sign the monument, the construction of which began three years ago Michael Graves Architecture & Design.
They named the monument "State of Unity", which in Slovenian means the state of unity. He will stand on the island Sadhu Bet, which is in the Indian district Gujarat. The planning and construction of the statue was very difficult, mainly due to the reinforcing structure.
It was precisely because of the difficulty of the project that MGA&D proved to be the right choice. The employees of the company have a lot of experience, in addition to the statue, they also designed this time roadway, garden and visitor center new attractions. In the latter, it will be possible to see glimpses from the life of the great leader who became famous with the fight for India's independence.
