The Safe on Bike program under the auspices of the Butan plin company has come to an end. At the final event in Ljubljana, the enthusiasm and goodwill of the finalists could be felt, and the expert jury declared the students from Sveti Tomaž elementary school and Tone Tomšič Knežak elementary school the winners. The first showed excellence in the BECOME A CYCLIST content section, while the others won a well-deserved award with excellently executed tasks in the ACTIVITY ON A BIKE content section.
The announced winners, in the company of special guests who further enriched the program, received awards and were rewarded for their year-long hard work, effort and dedication in the field of traffic safety and sustainable mobility.
Passed the cycling test and proved that road traffic regulations are no joke
The first place went elementary school Saint Thomas, who completed the largest number of tasks in the content part of the Postajam Kolesar tender. For their efforts, the students received an attractive cash prize of Rs 1,000 euros, which will provide the school with the continued implementation of transport and educational activities and the opportunity to improve the infrastructure for safe cycling. bike, and she was awarded Cirkovce elementary school. With an excellently completed task, she won first place and thus won a voucher for a traffic presentation at school, which is awarded by the Safety Agency
in traffic (AVP). Students from Elementary school Jurija Vega Moravče took second place in the overall total of the completed tasks of the mentioned content section. With their dedication and perseverance, they have earned a new school bike, which will allow them to continue exploring their surroundings on two wheels. Right behind them, in third place, came young cyclists from Primary school Heroja Janez Hribar Stari trg pri Lož, and for their achievement they received a bicycle service.
Among the individual tasks of the content set, the students stood out Primary school Braslovče, who accumulated the largest number of kilometers (5,600 km) among all participating schools. With effort, persistence and love for cycling, they won a school bike. Pupils came in second place Šmihel elementary school, who also impressed with the cycling kilometers they completed, and Zavarovalnica Triglav rewarded them with a bicycle service, which will ensure that their bicycles are always in perfect condition.

Among the guests who impressed the participants of the event was Jan Poric, a former downhill mountain bike competitor, shared his personal experience of how wearing a helmet saved his life in a serious cycling accident. His story inspired all listeners and pointed out the importance of protective equipment in cycling. Mojice Bonta, a teacher, librarian, journalist and renowned Slovenian writer, emphasized the importance of sustainable mobility and presented her literary work, the children's picture book Šibazajec, which addresses the field of traffic safety.
