On Saturday, February 13, SNG Maribor will host SNG Nova Gorica with a performance that is perfect for all children (and children at heart). The fairy-tale musical The Wizard of Oz is a story written by Lyman Frank in 1900, and it is still experiencing many new film and theater adaptations today.
Only someone doesn't know orphan Dorothea, who lives with his aunt and uncle in desolate Kansas? A tornado takes her to the dreamland of Oz, and despite the magic of the beautiful land, she begins to feel homesick. But in order to return home, she must reach the mighty the wizard of oz, who is the only one who can help her with this. Along the way, he meets a Scarecrow without a brain, a Tin Man without a heart and a Lion without courage. Four heroes go together on a journey to find answers, what is intelligence, what is luck and what is courage.
