After watching these movies, you will be even more convinced that it is cheating
When we look at cheating from an ethical point of view, it is never pretty, it has nothing positive in it, and in its absolute raw form is something deplorable. What about from a moral point of view? Here it is covered by a layer of ambiguity. What if you really love two people? What if you prefer one over the other and it's outside of your romantic relationship? What if your true love is someone you're not with? Isn't the pursuit of love morally conscious? Or is it immoral to want someone we cannot have? Cheating is never okay, but the road to getting there is almost always inevitably filled with innocent and strong emotions.
And like all complex things in human lives that cannot be imagined through introspection, cheating comes in the form of a cultural manifestation. Just like those movies that deal with the deepest, most nuanced aspects of infidelity. These movies kill you from the inside because you recognize the despair that infidelity causes to others, but especially to yourself!
