"You'll understand when you have your own kids," your parents told you many times when you were a child, right? dr. Julian De Silva found out research in Great Britain, where 2,000 people, mainly women, participated. He asked them whether their relationship with their parents changed when they started to create a family and after the birth of their first child. Half of the women said that during this time, before and after the birth, they may have really started to behave differently, similar to how their mothers behaved. Then they stop opposing them and rather start imitating them and adopting their characteristics. So they came to the conclusion that women start turning into their mothers at the age of 33!
He proved that habits, changes women's behavior and taste in the first few years after the birth of their first child. Signs that women are becoming more like their mothers are that they watch shows with similar content, use the same verbal expressions, etc.
But what about men? Do men turn into their fathers too?
Yes, it's not just women who go through this transformation. Men start turning into their fathers after the age of 34, claims Dr. De Silva, as the average age of men who have their first child is said to be 33.5 years. This manifests itself in different ways, let's say, they have have the same political views as their father, listen to the same radio stations and start turning off the lights in empty rooms.
"We all turn into our parents at some point in our lives," says dr. Silva.
