- During the year, Coca-Cola HBC further reduced its environmental footprint by reducing carbon emissions by double digits.
- At the same time, it further reduced the water consumption for the production of one liter of drink, as well as the amount of packaging, despite increased production and sales.
- In 2015, Coca-Cola HBC was among the first 12 companies in the world to establish carbon reduction targets based on scientifically verified data for both direct and indirect operations.
- The establishment of an internal price on water and carbon in 2015 and a commitment to accounting for sustainable development demonstrate in a practical way how Coca-Cola HBC supports global efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations.
- The company invested 8.2 million euros for the betterment of the community, focusing on three key areas: active lifestyle, environmental and water management, and youth development in partnership with more than 230 non-governmental organizations.
A few more interesting facts. Coca-Cola HBC has 33,311 employees and 43,000 suppliers. It recorded an 11.7% reduction in indirect carbon emissions compared to the previous year, a 7.2% improvement in the ratio of energy consumption compared to the previous year, a 19.4% improvement in the use of recycled PET packaging compared to the previous year. In 2015, they paid 273 million euros in taxes.
