Tom Odell is an award-winning singer-songwriter who enchants with piano sounds instead of guitar sounds. He has already sold around two million records, with which he has more than proven himself. You surely know his megahit Another Love, among other things he also made a cover of the famous Beatles song Real Love, but otherwise you have probably already heard his songs Grow Old With Me, Heal or Can't Pretend.
Tom Odell he says his songs speak about the inability to maintain a relationship with someone for more than six months. “When I'm honest, I write much better songs and I write about things that happen to me. But it might be a little weird when friends or girlfriends realize that the song is about them. But it's wonderful, what you can get away with," the perspective is convinced 27-year-old musician.
As a young man he listened to Elton John, and he counts David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Bruce Springsteen among his influences. His debut Long Way Down (2013) reached number one in the UK Albums Chart, followed by the album Wrong Crowd (2016). His third album will be released on October 26 this year Jubilee Road.
