You have a ticket and a glass of beer in your hand. All you have to do now is wait for the band to hit the stage. How does it feel backstage? What does a band think before stepping into the spotlight? And what do they think after the performance, when sweaty and ruined from the great show they just gave you, they finally catch their breath? All this was perfectly combined by photographer Tom Oldham in the ON/OFF photo series.
Book ON/OFF, which is 72 pages, has collected the work of six years across the UK, Tom Oldham but he secured access to some the biggest rock stars on our planet and photographed them before and after the performance.
Stylish black and white portraits include musicians such as: Arctic Monkeys, My Chemical Romance, Paul Weller, Primal Scream and MIA, and with them photographer Tom Oldham pays tribute to the early work of photography Annie Liebovitz at Rolling Stone magazine.
The book is currently seeking funding at PledgeMusic, and the proceeds go to charity for War Child.
