On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, on the 25th anniversary of the departure of the Yugoslav Army from Slovenia, the documentary-photographic exhibition Slovenia 1991/1992 opens in the Museum of Recent History of Slovenia.
Exhibition 'Slovenia 1991/1992' is an interesting photographic walk through the period of approximately one year of the formation of the life of the new country, independent Slovenia.
The photographs will take us to the time of the last attempts to exist in socialist Yugoslavia, the declaration of independence and the defense that followed. We will remember the introduction of the tolar, the creation of new borders and the establishment of Slovenia as an independent country on the world map.

The exhibition also indicates the internal political events full of changes and the current issue of refugees who came to Slovenia from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also touches on sports organizations and the participation of athletes in the biggest competitions under the new Slovenian flag. The photographs, which have never been presented before, are the work of Nacet Bizilje, Marjan Ciglič, Tone Stojko and Edi Šelhaus from the photographic collections of the Museum of Recent History of Slovenia.
