Romantic comedies are not necessarily your enemy. When most people think of the film genre, they usually see a 90-minute "scratcher" with Katherine Heigl or Jennifer Aniston looking for love in all the wrong places until one day she finds someone who has been there for her all this time. But the fact is, there are quite a few great romantic comedies that are good and different. And these are the kind of films that will delight even those who despise romantic comedies.
These are romantic comedies for those you are not most fond of.
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
Harry and Sally meet for the first time in 1977 when they go to New York together. There, their paths diverge. They meet again five years later, this time at the airport. After traveling by plane, they separate again. A few years later, a new meeting follows, which gives birth to a good friendship between them, which grows into something more.
Groundhog Day (1993)
An arrogant weatherman lands in a small town on a marmot day. When he wakes up to a new day after a tiring day, he is horrified to find that he has actually woken up to the exact same day as yesterday. For him, this will be repeated ad infinitum from now on.
The Philadelphia Story (1940)
