The Toyota Land Cruiser is certainly one of the most recognizable Toyota models. The Land Cruiser has earned a reputation as a reliable off-roader, and it was introduced to the market before the 60s, or rather before the 70s, if we consider its predecessor, the BJ model, from 1951.
In honor of a special anniversary, it was presented Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition, and it will be seen live for the first time at the Chicago Auto Show. And since you're surely wondering what separates the Heritage version from the 'regular' Land Cruiser, we'll just give you a quick explanation. Both you and we noticed the first 18-inch, bronze colored rims of the brand BBS, which will be obtainable only on the Heritage Edition. To the front part dominates blackness, as it covers the front seats, as well as darkened headlights and fog lights. The side mirrors also have blacked-out housings, and the Land Cruiser logos are vintage, something like on models from many years ago. The 'steps' have been removed to make it easier to get in and out of the car, for a simple reason - to keep the Heritage Edition unhindered and maximum field performance.
The changes in the interior are obvious. Black leather upholstery has seams in contrasting bronze color, and this is also the only color scheme you can choose. In the package, you also get special carpets and a cover for the luggage compartment, which are open it on all weather conditions. The Heritage Edition will only be available with by five seats and it will not be possible to order it with seven. Two exterior colors are available, Midnight Black Metallic black color and Blizzard Pearl white color.
Under the hood, the situation has not changed, but the range of engines remains the same, as in the 'regular' Land Cruiser model. They will only produce 1.200 of examples labeled Heritage Edition and if you really want one, you'll be able to order it at summer months this year.
