Christmas dishes will soon be on the tables, not only here, but all over the world. Customs and celebrations are really diverse, but one thing unites us and that is the love of food.
And what delicacies are prepared during the holidays in other countries of the world? Let's take a short walk through some of the world's tables.
Germany
For Christmas, Germans make a gingerbread house decorated with colorful candies, sweets and powdered sugar. Roasted goose and smoked sausage are their favorite meal, and they usually eat potatoes, cabbage, carrots and pickles as a side dish.
Sweden
On Christmas Eve, Christmas cooked ham with glazed eggs, breadcrumbs and mustard reigns supreme on the table. During the holidays, they like to drink mulled wine. Ginger cookies are a traditional Christmas dessert.
Portugal
The Portuguese eat dried cod with boiled potatoes, and their table is rich with cakes, candied pasta and a sweet mixture of walnuts, honey and raisins, better known as formigos.
Italy
Italians love a series of several dishes consisting mainly of pasta, roast meat, salad, pudding, cheese, fruit, chocolate, wine and brandy.

The Norwegian Christmas meal includes lamb ribs and sheep's head. Cod, pork chops, Christmas bread and various sausages are also on the festive table.

The British like to mix flavours, so they put eggs and bacon on the base of Christmas pudding and pie.

During the Christmas holidays, Russians always have meat dumplings, various pastries and sweet and savory pies on the table.

A traditional Czech holiday meal includes fish soup, potato salad, eggs and carp fish.

Australia
Christmas treats for Christmas are reminiscent of those in the middle of summer. Australians love to eat grilled steaks and ice cream or fruit sorbet, as well as the White Christmas dessert, which consists of milk powder, coconut, candied fruit and raisins.
In South and Central America
for Christmas they eat Tamales, where they fill the dough with various fillings and steam it wrapped in corn or banana leaves.
France
they like to prepare foie gras, a dish made from goose or duck liver, and they also prepare "La Bouche de Noel" chocolate roulade.
Belgium
