Summer has long since died out, and from the dark depths of the rest of the year, the drum of time is heard louder and louder as we sleep in our pajamas. The trash can stares silently ahead, intent on piercing what seems like reality. The putrid, sweet breath that rises around makes our loveliness even more dog-like.
Polymorphic is Oleg Kazakov, a 28-year-old Russian musician and sound engineer. He lives and plays in Moscow, where a group of musicians gathered around his teenage friend Proxy, who managed to establish Russia as a new superpower in electronic dance music. The recognizable sound, created under the Mako Recordings label by the aforementioned duo, Marseille, The Mould, Eclier and finally our own Volatile, introduces elements of drum&bass and happy hardcore into techno and probably represents the most radical current of independent dance electronics at all. Brutal synths, extreme distortion and the rawness of old-school rave combine in their machines into a noisy perfection, the intensity of which can force purification. It seems that Polymorphic goes the furthest when it comes to planned destruction and destructiveness of sound. His sense of systematic chaos does not go unnoticed - his elaborations are published on labels such as Coco Machete, Turbo and Kitsuné, he is hired for his remixes by Proxy, AutoKratz, Hey Today! and Fukkk Offf, while his admirers include Tiga, Mr. Oizo, Erol Alkan and Soulwax.
Even to destroy means to create!
