Home trends 2022: JYSK presented trends for home furnishings

The 2022 is designed to meet the expectations of customers in terms of new colors and shapes, as well as the type of material that is becoming increasingly important in the choice. JYSK has created three new trends for the spring and summer season, which complement each other and at the same time contain different products that work perfectly on their own.

One of the trends is BALANCE SHEETS, which defines the minimalism characteristic of Scandinavian design. UTOPIA is a trend that explores and plays with new fringe areas of interior design, GROUNDED however, it is a trend that inspires a peaceful atmosphere, similar to the specific Danish hygge.

Balance sheets

During the pandemic, we were all looking for new ways to return to a simpler life. We were reminded how important it is to get back to the basics that matter in life. This is the essence of the BALANCE trend. The point is attractive and functional products that are long-lasting and can be used in new ways over time, placed at different angles and on different surfaces. The decoration options are unlimited, given the basic colors, which are occasionally spiced up with attractive elements. Inspiration comes from Scandinavian beaches and sand dunes, where lighter, natural tones predominate.

Utopia

In the modern world, we need new solutions, such as new pieces of furniture or decorations with an interesting design. With the UTOPIA trend, we are playfully looking for a new space that will stimulate our creativity. In the midst of unpredictable circumstances and uncertainty, we seek a safe haven or a zone of perfection where we can take a well-deserved rest. The color palette has a strong Scandinavian inspiration. Red brings optimism, and fine pastels combined with khaki and light blue simply direct your mind to thinking about summer Nordic nights.

Grounded

In unpredictable times, we are looking for a sense of calm and groundedness, and that is exactly what the GROUNDED trend gives us. The trend shows us that we can find solace in a familiar space, even if it means discovering new details in an environment we already know. The color palette attracts eyes and arouses curiosity. The tones are inspired by nature - the color of peach, eggplant or fig, as well as natural, wild fields of untouched flowers where nature thrives.
