A microwave oven is not just for heating food. Did you know that you can froth milk, melt sugar, make French toast in it...?
See what you can do with a microwave oven. We have prepared some tips and tricks that will make your work easier when preparing food.
Quickly peel the garlic
Pop the garlic in the microwave for 15 seconds and the skin will slide off in no time. The water in the garlic steams and breaks the bond between the cloves and the skin for quick removal.
Fruit juice with ease
Before juicing an orange or lemon, heat the uncut fruit in the microwave for 10 seconds. The microwave will loosen the fibers inside the fruit and make it easier to squeeze out the juice to the last drop.
Remove lumps of brown sugar
If the brown sugar is hard, try this. Wet a paper towel, place it in a bowl of sugar, and heat it in the microwave for 25 seconds. The moisture will transfer to the sugar and soften it.
Crystallized honey
If the jar of honey is crystallized, simply remove the lid and heat it in the microwave. Turn it on for 30 to 40 seconds until it returns to its original smooth texture.
Peel vegetables faster
Hard zucchini and root vegetables are difficult to peel. To make it easier, heat the vegetables in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes on low and the skin will be more flexible for peeling and cutting - just be careful when removing the hot vegetables so you don't burn your fingers.
Milk foam
Pour the milk into the glass, no more than half full (to leave room for foam). Screw on the cap and shake vigorously for 30 to 60 seconds. The milk will turn into foam. Remove the lid and microwave for 30 seconds to allow the foam to rise. And pour it into your favorite coffee.
French toast
Would you like to have lunch in five minutes? Rub a piece of butter on the bottom of the plate; place toast on it. In a separate cup, mix 1 egg, 3 tablespoons of milk. Pour the mixture over the toast and heat it in the microwave for one minute
