Twicycle is an unusual road bike that is propelled by legs and hands. The foot- and hand-powered bicycle is not a completely new concept, as some time ago Ruder-Rad produced a tricycle that can be propelled by turning the pedals and pulling the handlebars at the same time, but the innovator Boyan Rista, who conceived the Twicycle, got down to business quite differently. He started the project because he believes that the bicycle has untapped potential.
Twicycle it is a road bike that can be propelled by feet or hands (or both at the same time) and according to the innovator Boyan Rista by doing so, we use its full potential. The hands are a relatively unused part of the body when it comes to cycling, but not with the Twicycle, which additional chain on the handlebars (the second cassette is on the front wheel) also engages the upper limbs.
Power can be distributed between the legs and arms in the style of cross-country skiing. Both sets of chainrings allow shifting so that the lower and upper limbs can work under different load.

The Twicycle arm and leg bike is currently still available concept, and in the summer it will go to crowdfunding platform, where they will collect funds to start mass production.
