Xi'an Jiaotong – Liverpool University is an international academic institution located in China (Suzhou).
It serves as a meeting place for students from the campus as well as for employees (administration). The large brown mass imitates the local stones taihu, which are assembled into an irregular structure full of dynamic voids that embrace the object. The combination of glassy, cold, sharp forms with soft, organic parts covered by stones gives a dynamic undertone. The campus is a joint project of China University Xi'an Jiaotong and the University of Liverpool.
