The Sonica festival will take place in various Ljubljana locations for the fifth year in a row. It brings top-quality urban content into the home, from music to audiovisual art, club electronic music to modern intermedial art. The fifth edition of this festival, which is part of the ICAS network, will feature artistic interventions, workshops, sound and intermedial installations, audiovisual concerts and club events. They will reach their climax that evening, when the cult Ljubljana duo Random Logic will present themselves with a new original work, as well as the British legends SND.
The words of the organizers will tell you more about the program itself: "The program of the Sonica 2013 festival follows the established lines of the MoTe - Museum of Transitional Arts in the search for transitory, transitory 'lines of escape' in the field of contemporary art, in a distinctly heterogeneous and non-uniform field of creative and thought forces, which sound passes through the design of the transient. Sound as a medium of transience, which crosses walls, bodies, spaces, which is omnipresent in the urban milieu, embodied in objects, concepts, thoughts, in art forms such as music, in images and speech, but at the same time crosses them, quilts with its elusive and transitory, ever-changing nature.”
